Monthly workshops
In Toulouse with Sharon Munro

1st Term:
Exploring the Principles of the Method

In the Feldenkrais™ Method, improvement doesn’t come from pushing, pulling or stretching, but through a completely different approach. Alongside the fascinating sequences of movements that we explore, there are guiding principles: using attention, moving slowly, taking breaks, respecting our limits, and minimizing effort. So, what lies behind these ideas, and why do they make improvement so easy?

2nd Term:
Moving Easily from One Position to Another

Some transitions happen so quickly that they are over even before we realize they occurred. Others cause us great anxiety way before they happen. The way we change position in bed, move from a lying to a standing position or from standing to sitting, reveals a lot about how we deal with the world. This series will address our own resistance to difficulty, how to make movements comfortable and pleasurable and how to be more present to ourselves.

3rd Term:
Study of the breath (Suite)

Feldenkrais never taught the “correct” way to breathe nor the “correct” way to do anything for that matter.

Instead, he gave us the means to sense and to explore different ways of doing the same thing. This not only increases our awareness of the parts that make up the breathing, it also allows us to choose what is most efficient and comfortable for us, depending on the circumstances and our activities.
